I am from London, United Kingdom and I have been involved in adult education since 2015. I have taught across many sectors and subjects with a specialization in technology and business. I am a published author in the education field contributing to research at UCL on workplace readiness through higher education. As a technology and education professional I understand the need for continuous learning and improvement for organizations and the people that make those organizations work. In today’s world technologies and markets change rapidly and those of us who are open to learning, humble and committed can remain agile and valuable to our employers, our colleagues are our families. Teaching that focuses on the ‘why’ helps us to better connect with our learning and to retain more information. Everyone is on a unique learning journey, with different starting points, different styles and capacities and different destinations in mind; as such, each person must be heard and respected in the classroom and given the means to succeed. My classroom celebrates each learner and encourages them to push themselves and achieve more than they think they can. Teaching and learning is a symbiosis between instructor and learner where two people work together for a goal. In a group teaching setting everyone benefits from the multiplying of these connections. Together, the learning is enhanced and improved through peer support and common challenges. I hope that my classroom will provide you with a place for you to improve yourself, improve your life and enable you to uplift others in the process.
